About the Chequers
The Chequers Inn is a Grade 2 listed 17th-century public house, located in the rural village of Wrestlingworth on the east Bedfordshire border with Cambridgeshire. Community groups in the village often meet at the Chequers, these include the local Women’s Institute, the Goodwill Fund, the Walking and Wildlife group, The Bowls Club and the Pre-School support group.
Dave and Carin's focus is to maintain the feel of a “village local” where drinkers are encouraged to try the variety of real ales and quality wines, both local and from afar.
Whilst drinking is the focus, the Chequers also provides a good, wholesome pub meal with all meats sourced from local butchers
